The Campervan | 2023

A recreational vehicle and travelling wellness hub dedicated to frontline heroes for Canadian camping adventures.

The Campervan is Canada’s first and only recreational vehicle (RV) and mobile wellness hub that is set to serve over 2,600 frontline uniformed workers and families per year starting in 2023.

The healing space on wheels is uniquely curated alongside world-class industry specialists to deliver an immersive and innovative wellness experience.

Due to high stress work environments, frontline professionals and their families traditionally and statistically experience a higher percentage of psychological distress.

The Campervan is geared to reduce work related burnout, restore mental wellness, and lower the prevalence of stress, anxiety, depression and mental health injury.

Features:

Exclusive to Canadian frontline uniformed service groups including
military members, healthcare workers, emergency responders and their families.

Optional to your standard camping needs, The Campervan showcases an ensemble of clinician designed activations complemented by self-guided therapeutic activities. The holistic programming modalities introduced are profoundly rooted in neuroscience, psychological research and grounded in cultural significance. The Campervan’s programs are detailed into the categories of:

1 | Mind-Body Therapies

The Campervan’s mind-body therapies involve the modalities of meditation and hypnotherapy.

Within the vehicle, you will find programming, resources and research materials in the formats of audio, literature, digital applications, as well as site-specific installations.

Clinician directed programs can take place as live-time sessions or remote engagements between the participant(s) and the clinician.

2 | Art & Creative Therapies

Nurture your unique expressions through artistic mediums, choreographic movements, sound healing and more.

Within and beyond the vehicle, you will find programming, resources and research materials in the formats of audio, literature and digital applications, as well as clinician designed guides and hand-held musical objects.

Reimagine the ways to which you feel and express experiences. For example, indulge in musical therapy by the waves of your voice, through the resonance of singing bowls or simply by raindrop melodies on a stormy night.

3 | Indigenous Healing

With the blessing, permission and guidance of our First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples’ healers and elders, The Campervan’s indigenous healing program honours our land’s ancestors and aim to guide our participants through a journey of healing that is steeped in tradition.

Within, outside and beyond the vehicle, you will find programming, resources and research materials in the formats of literature and healer designed guides and more.

4 | Multi-Sensory Vertical Garden

The multi-sensory garden borrows the unique healing and stimulating properties of horticultural therapy by creating an artistic installation display of craft floral and greenery designs within the The Campervan.

The display will be housed within a transparent vitrine that can become accessible to touch and experience. Complementing the garden is an in-vehicle pop-up beverage bar that is dedicated to fulfilling the sensory of taste through some of Canada’s most celebrated tea and coffee blends.
